A torsion spring failing is loud, sudden, and unmistakable. Our technicians match the correct wire gauge and wind direction to your door's actual weight, not a guess off a chart.
A mismatched spring either fails early or overloads the opener. We size it correctly every time.
A single-spring swap on a pair often means a second failure within months. We'll lay out the tradeoff honestly.
This is the one repair where licensing and training genuinely protect you, not just the door.
The spring installed is chosen for durability, not just for passing the next inspection.
Each service below is handled by a technician trained specifically for this kind of repair, not a generalist guessing at it.
We calculate the correct torsion spring specification, then use proper winding bars and sequence to install it safely.
Extension springs are replaced in matched pairs with new safety cables, since a mismatched pair throws the door off balance.
Sudden spring failure gets same-day priority since a broken spring makes manual operation dangerous.
A torsion conversion adds an overhead shaft and drums, trading exposed extension springs for a safer, more durable setup.
Springs rated for 10,000 cycles wear predictably. We'll tell you honestly how much life is left before it becomes an emergency.
Describe the spring symptom, a loud bang, a sagging door, or a door that won't lift, and we'll schedule a technician.
Our vans carry the spring inventory needed for most jobs without a parts run.
Precise measurement comes first, then a confirmed flat price for the correct spring.
Spring installed, tension set, balance tested, and backed by written warranty before we leave.
“Spring snapped with a bang like a gunshot. Tech replaced both springs same day and explained why doing just one wasn't worth the risk.”
“They measured everything before quoting instead of eyeballing it like the last company did.”
“Balance test after the install showed the door lifts perfectly by hand now, opener disconnected.”
The exact number depends on your door's specs, but you'll see it in writing before any spring is touched.
We'll tell you the second spring's estimated remaining life so you can decide with real information.
We strongly recommend a licensed technician handle any spring work given the forces involved.
Higher cycle-rated springs can last well beyond a decade under normal household use.
A spring that's too weak puts extra strain on the opener with every cycle, accelerating wear.
Most spring replacements are completed same-day, often within one to two hours once the technician arrives.
Same-day dispatch, upfront pricing, and a written warranty on every visit.
